Thomas Schmid
Creative Director
"In my first life I was a lawyer. Of this, little has been left in my knowledge apart from my dissertation, which I wrote on the topic of "freedom of expression" in the USA, and which is still part of my content. I started my life in the "communications sector" in the major international advertising agencies. Whether as a copywriter and creative director at Ogilvy, as a managing director of Publicis or as an international creative director for Coca-Cola, it was the time of great classic campaigns. Then, with two partners, I founded Friendly Fire - the first company in Austria to specialize in 3D animations. Before "storytelling" became a big subject, I got to know the power of strong entertaining stories and excited me for it. It was almost a logical step, together with my current business partner John and an American investor to build an international online community magazine for women. What we did was really new, because social media or video storytelling were an integral part of the platform long before other media also pursued this strategy. All these experiences now flow into page 84. From classic branding, storytelling to digital communication. You probably do notice it, I am a little restless, always looking for something new."
