Winning gold for MediaMarkt Austria and silver for MediaMarktSaturn Germany at the international MultiMedia Award officially shows that we at page 84 own the category "Content & Storytelling“.
Rarely have Austrian agencies dominated a category at the international Annual MultiMedia Award as page 84 and Lefor Oberbauer did. We won gold and silver in the “Content Marketing and Storytelling” category: Gold for the MediaMarkt Austria “Alpin Liga” campaign and silver for the MediaMarktSaturn Germany “La Liga” campaign.
Both campaigns ran on the online platform “Stars of Sales“, which we developed two years ago forMediaMarktSaturn Germany and its more than 20.000 salespeople in cooperation with Lefor Oberbauer. MediaMarkt Austria joined in 2022. Stars of Sales is now the largest gaming sales platform in Europe. Just like in a game, salespeople collect coins when they learn about products from industry partners by consuming content as blogs, podcasts or videos. They also earn coins for successful sales.
Karin Lutterbey, Head of Digital at Lefor Oberbauer, explains: “To date, more than 60 different industry partners have been part of the Stars of Sales program. This is no coincidence, as our campaigns for the products increase sales by up to 55%.“
Content and storytelling play key roles in achieving success. The more salespeople engage with the products and sales tips, the more successfully they sell. Thomas Schmid, Creative Director of page 84, states, “You can’t achieve anything with boring PowerPoint presentations. We transform dull content into entertaining stories. This makes ‘learning’ enjoyable, and salespeople become fully trained professionals in a playful manner.”
To achieve that, we developed an online tool called Darwin’s Game, which is already in use at Drei Hutchison and other clients.
